We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Linux Server and Email Server Administrator.

As a Linux Server and Email Server Administrator at Arissa India, you will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining Linux servers, MySQL and PostgreSQL databases, SMTP servers, and various web hosting platforms. Your expertise in server administration, email marketing solutions, and technical support will be vital in ensuring the efficient operation and security of our clients’ email servers, CRMs, and related systems.

Qualification:

To excel in this role, you should possess a bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field. Relevant certifications, such as Linux Professional Institute Certification (LPIC), MySQL Certification, and AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, are highly desirable.

Minimum Experience:

You should have a minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience in administrating Linux servers, MySQL and PostgreSQL databases, Apache, NGINX, OpenVPN, XenServer, shell scripting, PHP, and SMTP servers. Experience with PowerMTA, IP addresses, tunnelling, and email marketing solutions is essential.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage web hosting services including WHM/Cpanel, CentaOs web Panel, Plesk Panel Manage, all types of servers like Dedicated, VPS, Shared server, server security, server monitoring, server setup and management, backup management, backup server migration, SSL installation, DDOS protection, and NGINX.
  • Manage different cloud services such as AWS, Linode, Digital Ocean, Google Cloud, etc.
  • Manage email campaigns using Mailwizz, Interspire, Sendy, Oempro, sendgrid, etc.
  • Provide technical support to clients as needed.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
  • Collaborate with other team members to improve the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the system.
  • Perform MySQL and PostgreSQL Database Administration.
  • Configure and manage Apache, NGINX, and OpenVPN servers.
  • Develop Shell Scripts, PHP, HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Work with CMSs such as WordPress and Joomla.

Skills Required:

  • Email Server Administration: Proficiency in overall email server administration, including configuration, maintenance, and security measures.
  • SMTP Protocols: Strong understanding of SMTP (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol) and related protocols for email delivery.
  • PowerMTA Configuration: Expertise in configuring PowerMTA for optimal email delivery, including managing IP pools, delivery rules, authentication methods, and bounce handling.
  • AWS SES (Simple Email Service): Knowledge of AWS SES and its integration with email servers, including setting up and managing sending quotas, DKIM (DomainKeys Identified Mail), and bounce handling.
  • Mautic Integration: Ability to integrate Mautic with email servers, ensuring seamless data flow and leveraging Mautic’s features for personalized email marketing campaigns.
  • SendGrid Integration: Proficiency in integrating SendGrid with email servers, utilizing its API for email delivery, and managing bounce handling and feedback loops.
  • IP Rotation: Experience in implementing IP rotation techniques to enhance email deliverability and manage sender reputation.
  • Bounce Handling: Expertise in handling bounced emails effectively, including analyzing bounce codes, categorizing bounces, and taking appropriate actions for list hygiene.
  • Feedback Loop Management: Familiarity with feedback loops from ISPs (Internet Service Providers), such as Gmail, Yahoo, and Microsoft, to process and handle user complaints and unsubscribe requests.
  • Postmaster Responsibilities: Understanding the role of a postmaster, including managing abuse complaints, monitoring email traffic, and maintaining compliance with email service providers’ guidelines.
  • Email Authentication: Knowledge of SPF, DKIM, and DMARC protocols to ensure email authentication, prevent spoofing, and improve email deliverability.
  • Email Deliverability Optimization: Proven ability to optimize email deliverability rates by implementing best practices, monitoring sender reputation, and managing blacklists.
  • Email Compliance: Understanding and adherence to email compliance regulations, such as CAN-SPAM Act and GDPR, to ensure legal and ethical email marketing practices.
  • Troubleshooting and Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills to identify and resolve email delivery issues, such as spam filtering, blacklisting, and reputation problems.
  • Monitoring and Analytics: Experience in utilizing monitoring tools and analytics platforms to track email delivery metrics, identify performance bottlenecks, and make data-driven improvements.
  • Technical Support: Excellent communication and customer service skills to provide technical support to clients, addressing their email server-related inquiries and issues promptly.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Proficiency in documenting server configurations, email delivery processes, and preparing reports on email server performance and deliverability.
  • Continuous Learning: Commitment to staying updated with the latest email server technologies, industry trends, and best practices through self-study and professional development.
